An adaptation of Alvin Lucier’s 1969 performance, I Am Sitting In A Room
I am sitting in a room different from the one you are in now. I am amplifying the the sound of my speaking voice and sending it into my laptop. Then it is streaming over the internet with a 30 second delay. I am playing the audio on my website from my cell phone, which is plugged into a radio transmitter. There is a radio on the other side of the room broadcasting the signal back into the room. I am amplifying the radio and sending it back into the laptop. I regard this activity not so much as a demonstration of resonant frequencies but as a way to disappear into the electromagnetic field.
